今天早上坐在書桌前，嘴裡唱著自編的兒歌：〔寶貝，寶貝，幸福謠〕一邊摸著書展帶回來的一大袋的大書繪本，摸到這本繪本，一眼就認識它：它在前幾年前上繪本研習課程時有2、3位老師都介紹過，知道它是很感人的兒童繪本描述一位年輕的母親對著小孩的愛是永無止境的，「內文陳述著在小孩成長過程中，嬰幼兒時因好奇，愛探索好動的幼兒期，調皮搗蛋的兒童期，到青少年思想，個性轉變，時而有些叛逆，到長大成人時的意識成長，覺得獨立自主是理所當然而離家獨居時。母親仍舊依然如往昔的那份愛還是不變．從小到孩子床邊抱著唱著的母親仍是無悔的付出．直到母親老到無法動的那一天，將剩下的那一點力氣，才拿起話筒．．．．」。　實際上，我還沒閱讀過呢！看看封面，看看封底：A young woman holds her new born son and look at him lovingly.  Softly she sings to him:

I’ll love you forever. I’ll like you for always,

As long as I’m living my baby you’ll be.

咦！好熟的詞，好像上次上故事講師受訓課程時老師曾唱過？趕快找出筆記，沒錯！原來出自這裡，但曲調已忘了，找找原書可有附光碟，可惜沒附！（這一本一般尺寸的繪本是買繪本大書時書商送我這繪本），於是自己亂唱一遭，也不錯聽，於是我也來念念看好了：

A mother held her new baby and very slowly rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.  And while she held him, she sang:

I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always,

As long as I’m living my baby you’ll be. …..…

一邊念著一邊跟著母親的心境喜悅，溫馨的唱著..

The baby grew. He grew and he grew and he grew……..This kid is driving me CRAZY!

一邊念著一邊跟著孩子的成長，聲調再轉承起折我的心已融入這個情境了

Ｗell, that mother, she got older. She got older and older and older…..

One day she called up her son and said,  “You’d better come see me because……

母親已無力完整地唱出這首搖籃曲了　　I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always……… The son went to his mother. He picked her up and rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. 我的喉嚨已在哽咽了….I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always,  As long as I’m living my Mommy you’ll be.  我的聲音在顫抖，我的眼淚不聽使喚地掉下來了．．．．．．．

When the son came home that night, he stood for a long time at the top of the stairs. Then he went into the room where his very new baby daughter was sleeping.  He picked her up …This is the story of how that little boy goes through the stages of childhood and becomes a man. It’is also about the enduring nature of parents’love and how it crosses generations.
